Arctic Lighthouse Hotel

The hotel is located on Hailuoto, the largest island in the Gulf of Bothnia. It is nestled at the foot of a still functional lighthouse. This location offers exceptional and expansive sea views across the gulf. This truly unique and utterly fascinating venue once served as a maritime pilot station.

The hotel has a reception area, a restaurant, a large sunny terrace in the summers, sauna facilities and a meeting room. A guest marina is located immediately adjacent to the hotel, complete with a service building, a waste disposal area and sauna facilities. A fully operational pilot boat marina is located next to the guest marina. Some of the rooms and the restaurant are wheelchair-accessible.

Thanks to its truly one-of-a-kind natural setting, Hailuoto island has achieved an iconic status in Finland. Hailuoto is the third largest Finnish sea island and the only one in the Gulf of Bothnia that remains permanently inhabited despite the absence of all year-round access by road.

Restaurant

Restaurant Aava welcomes hotel guests and also other visitors to enjoy its tasty meals, in which fish is always available in one delicious form or another. This combined with the large windows of the restaurant offering an amazing view over the seascape creates a special experience, no matter the time of the day. We are also more than happy to cater to groups.
