Classic Winter Escape

Surrounded by beautiful rapids of River Raudanjoki, lush forest and pristine nature, the Arctic Circle Wilderness Resort is a perfect place for the those who want to enjoy pure nature and hunt for Northern Lights not too far from Rovaniemi. The location is easy to access, only a 15­ minute drive (18 km) from Rovaniemi International airport, ride to downtown takes 20 minutes (24 km) by car. Our shuttle bus service is connecting Arctic Circle Wilderness with Santa Claus Village every day.

Accommodation Options

PANORAMA HUT
We have 25 cabins built from local pine wood representing the modern Lappish architecture. Each cabin (20 m²) has a full size panorama window with the view to the beautiful wilderness. The cabin is suitable for 2 persons, 1 extra bed available. Private toilet and bathroom facilities.

RIVERSIDE APARTMENT
There are 4 semi­detached apartments, 250 meters walk away from the reception and restaurant building. Each apartment has 2 twin bedrooms, cosy living room with fireplace, TV and dining area, small kitchen, toilet, private sauna with shower room and private entrance. 2 twin bedrooms have 2 beds in each, extra bed is available on living room sofa (convertible).

STELLA FAMILY ROOM
Stella Cottage is a large traditional log cabin with 5 cosy rooms. Each bedrooms has 2 floors, 2 twin beds are located on the loft, extra bed for maximum 2 children (convertible sofa) and bathroom are on the ground floor. Please note the stairs are steep, therefore we do not recommend this room type for families with small children! The cottage has a shared lounge area in the middle with comfortable sofas, TV and mini­kitchen for the use of all house guests.
