Husky Safari at the Wilderness Resort with Lunch
This safari is a great way to spend a day in Lapland, with the opportunity to drive your own team of huskies; enjoy a rustic lunch at the Wilderness Resort nestled on the banks of the Raudanjoki river; then explore the beautiful Arctic Circle Wilderness area.
When you arrive to the husky camp at the Wilderness Resort you will first be shown how to control the husky sled. You will drive your own husky team for approximately 5 km (20 – 30 minutes duration) depending on the weather, with an opportunity to stop halfway through to change drivers. After your ride with the huskies we will have lots of opportunities for photos and petting the friendly dogs.
Our guide will also explain more about the huskies and their lifestyle, while enjoying hot berry juice and cookies by the warm fire.
A delicious soup lunch is waiting for you in the cosy Wilderness Resort, a traditional lumberjack’s manor built with Finnish log cabin design.
You have free time after lunch to enjoy the pristine arctic nature and explore some of the nearby hiking trails. There are short walks you can find that take you near the beautiful rapids of the Raudanjoki river and through the wintry spruce forest.
Two adults and max one child share one husky sled.
