A short transfer takes you to the family‑owned husky farm, where the eager and friendly dogs await your arrival. On this guided husky sled ride in Levi, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the view while the dogs pull you through the peaceful, snow‑covered Lapland wilderness.
A professional husky guide will drive the dog sled for you, ensuring a safe and smooth husky safari experience. Wrapped in warm blankets with your hands free, you can take plenty of photos to capture memories of this special experience. After the husky tour, you will hear more about the dogs and their lives. You will also be served a cup of hot juice and a tasty local cookie before departing back to Levi. If you would prefer to drive the husky sleigh yourself, that is also possible. All tours listed are for a minimum of 2 persons paying a full (adult) price, unless mentioned otherwise.
PRICE INCLUDES
- The prices include all described activities, services and equipment.
- During the winter season, some of the products include a thermal overall, boots, gloves, and woolen socks. For snowmobile safaris, a helmet and balaclava are also provided. This is mentioned in product info.
- Please note: Appropriate winter clothing is required for all programs during the winter season.
GUIDANCE
- Guidance is in English, other languages are available on request basis with a possible supplement of 39 € per hour through Monday to Saturday and 55 € per hour on Sundays or bank holidays.
SNOWMOBILE TOURS
- The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license (car or van – please check the acceptability of your license in comparison to Finnish standards).
- Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their driving license with them on the tour. According to Finnish traffic regulations, copies, photographs or digital licenses cannot be accepted. If you do not bring your physical driving license you won’t be able to drive and no refund can be offered.
- Please note that it is strictly prohibited to drive a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- The starting point for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
- The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The self liability is a flat rate of 900 € per driver per accident case. The self liability flat rate can be reduced to 200 € per driver per accident case by purchasing a self liability waiver from Wild Nordic for 20 € per person for the shorter (1-4 hour) safaris and for 30 € per person for the longer (5-8 hour) safaris.
- Children 4 – 14 years will travel in a sleigh pulled behind the guide’s snowmobile when child price is paid. Please note, that we do not recommend snowmobile safaris for children under 4 years for their own comfort and safety.
- Children over 140 cm can sit on a snowmobile, when paying adult price for the tour.
- Solo travellers or participants in group with odd numbers might have to share a snowmobile with someone from another party. If the traveler wish to not share a snowmobile, a single driver supplement can be purchased on spot (subject to availability).
NORTHERN LIGHTS TOURS
- Northern lights are a natural occurrence and we are unable to guarantee activity, vibrancy or the colour on the evening of the tour.
HIKING BASED ACTIVITIES
- For hiking based activities a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
ROVANIEMI
- All safaris start and end at Wild Nordic Safari Center office (Joulupukintie 1) located next to Santa Claus Village. The starting point and time for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
- Most of the tours include a transfer from the meeting points in the central area of Rovaniemi. Customers shall wait for their pick-up at the given meeting time and point notified by Wild Nordic. All the pick-up times are subject to a 10-minute difference depending on the other participants joining the tours.
- For the tours ending at the Wild Nordic Safari Center, located next to the Santa Claus Village, you can always skip the return transfer if you wish to visit Santa Claus.
LEVI
- All safaris start and end at the designated meeting point in the center of Levi. The meeting point and time for the safari are stated in the booking confirmation.
