The aurora borealis, or more commonly known as the Northern Lights, are a spectacular, naturally occuring phenomenon that is something that must be witnessed in person to truly understand and comprehend their beauty and brilliance. Finnish Lapland has become synonymous with this spectacle or light and mysticism with the Northern Lights ocurring about 150 nights a year in Lapland.
