Inka Päivike to Lead the Company Her Father Built; Assumes Role as CEO of Wild Nordic Finland
Wild Nordic Finland, a leader in the safari industry of Lapland for nearly three decades, has now transformed into a multi-generational, family-owned business with the announcement of Inka Päivike as the Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Päivike will take over the role from Veronika Butinova, who had served as the CEO since November 2022, in the wake of Sami Päivike’s sudden passing in February 2022.
Butinova announced the change internally to employees, providing some context for her decision and stating, “Due to health reasons, I will be stepping down as the CEO. I’m sad to leave Wild Nordic, but at the same time I am confident that we have assembled a strong and motivated team that will continue the exemplary work that we have achieved over the last two years. I have full confidence that this group will be successful in taking Wild Nordic to a new level of excellence in the tourism sector of Lapland.”
Wild Nordic Finland would like to thank Veronika for all of her hard work and dedication to the role that she has filled for the last two years and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
Inka has expressed her commitment to inspiring and leading her team with the same passion and dedication that her father exemplified, saying:
“I’m excited to be able to lead such an incredible collection of individuals that have been assembled at Wild Nordic over the past years. In a lot of ways this is like a homecoming of sorts. I grew up around this company, the company that my father built and put his heart and soul into. For me, this is an honour. My hope and goal is to be able to inspire and lead people as well as he did and also to serve our customers and guests in a manner that would make him proud of each and every one of us.” – Inka Päivike, CEO
