Spend a festive day with the elves and explore Santa Claus’s new home. The highlight of the Santa’s Workshop program is a family meeting with Santa Claus himself. Additionally, the program includes a visit to Elves’ Hideaway and the reindeer fence.

The program starts at Visitor Center, where the elves will give you a map and tips for exploring the area. You can determine the length of the walk yourself: the shortest route to the Elves Hideaway is about 500 meters, but by choosing the longer adventure path, you can enjoy a walk of over a kilometer.

Follow the Elves’ Paths marked on the map, which will eventually lead you to Elves’ Hideaway. In the Elves’ Hideaway, you can explore the Seita Stone, Gingerbread House, Elf School, and the Hut of Knowledge. The elves are waiting for you with activities: you can bake gingerbread cookies in the Gingerbread House and participate in crafts at the Elf School.

Visit Elves’ reindeer fence, where you will meet the elves’ loyal reindeer. You can enter the fence and get close to the reindeer.

Step into Santa Claus’s new home and explore Santa’s office and kitchen. The bedroom shelves are filled with Christmas-themed literature, and in the wardrobe, Santa keeps various outfits he needs for traveling around the world. Find the secret door that leads to the history room, where you can learn about the fascinating history of toys. The journey continues to an audiovisual exhibition space, where imagination comes to life through the stories of a talking tree.

Each family gets a private meeting time with Santa Claus. The tour culminates in a magical elevator ride to Santa’s own room. Santa gives a small gift to all children! If you wish, you can hand him your own letter.

Finally, you can visit the Visitor Center’s souvenir shop and find a memento that brings the joy of Christmas into your everyday life all year round. The café offers small snacks! The ice cream made in the elves’ own ice cream factory are simply delightful.

Important information to read prior to booking

Registration for the program at the VISITOR CENTER, where we will tell you about the course of the program and hand you the secret map of Tonttula leading you through teh magical Fantasy world.

More information about meeting Santa Claus:

A family meeting with Santa takes about 5 minutes. Please arrive to meet Santa approx. 10 minutes before the time marked on the map.

Photography is allowed. Please note that video recording is not allowed during Santa’s visit. Santa Claus gives a small gift to all the children!

Letter to Santa Claus

Attached is a link from which you can print the finished letter to Santa Claus template (pdf format). Please fill in the information using the Latin alphabet (English or Finnish). If you wish, you can bring a letter when you come to Tonttula, from where we will deliver it to Santa Claus before your meeting. Included in the program price.

Transportation is not included in the price. Tonttula is located in Köngäs village, 8 km from Levi (8 min). Tonttula experience village can be easily reached by TAXI +358(0)200 99800.

The shortest distance to the Secret Hideaway of the Elves Village is only 500m, and if you choose a longer experience path, you can walk briskly for a one kilometer.

Tobogganing and being around animals is at your own risk.

The child is always the responsibility of the adult.

We reserve all rights to price changes and program content changes.

Cancellation Policy

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 20 days or less before the event
We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 60 days or less before the event

All tours listed are for a minimum of 2 persons paying a full (adult) price, unless mentioned otherwise.

PRICE INCLUDE

The prices include all described activities, services and equipment.
Some of the products include in winter season a thermal overall, boots, gloves and woolen socks, in snowmobile safaris also helmet and balaclava. This is mentioned in product info.
Please note: in winter time you always need to have winter outfit for all programs.

GUIDANCE

Guidance is in English, other languages are available on request basis with a possible supplement of 39 € per hour through Monday to Saturday and 55 € per hour on Sundays or bank holidays.

SNOWMOBILE TOURS:

The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid, class B driving license (car or van – check the acceptability of your license in comparison to Finnish standards).
In accordance with Finnish traffic and motor vehicle laws, you must have your physical driver’s license with you in order to operate a snowmobile. If you do not have your driver’s license, you will not be able to drive during the tour and no refund can be offered.
Please note that it is strictly prohibited to drive a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The starting point for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
The snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The driver is held liable for a flat rate of 900 € per person in case of an accident. It is possible for the driver to purchase an insurance from Wild Nordic for 15 € per person for tours up to 3 hours and 30€ per person for tours 4 hours of more (subject to change as advised by Wild Nordic), which reduces the maximum liability to 150 € per person.
Teenagers must be at least 140cm to sit on a snowmobile paying adult price. Children will be sitting on a sleigh pulled by the guide snowmobile if the type of tour allows it.
Sleigh rides are not recommended for children younger than 3 years old.
Solo travellers or participants in group with odd numbers might have to share a snowmobile with someone from another party. If the traveler wish to not share a snowmobile, a single driver supplement can be purchased on spot (subject to availability).

NORTHERN LIGHTS TOURS:

Northern lights are a natural occurrence and we are unable to guarantee activity, vibrancy or the colour on the evening of the tour.

HIKING BASED ACTIVITIES:

For hiking based activities a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

ROVANIEMI

All safaris start and end at Wild Nordic Safari Center office (Joulupukintie 1) located next to Santa Claus Village. The starting point and time for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
Most of the tours include a transfer from the meeting points in the central area of Rovaniemi. Customers shall wait for their pick-up at the given meeting time and point notified by Wild Nordic. All the pick-up times are subject to a 10-minute difference depending on the other participants joining the tours.
For the tours ending at the Wild Nordic Safari Center, located next to the Santa Claus Village, you can always skip the return transfer if you wish to visit Santa Claus.

LEVI

All safaris start and end at in the centre of Levi at the given meeting point of the tour. The starting point and time for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
