Scenic Sleighride
Starting from 79,00 € / person
Available: December – March
Duration: 1 hour
Total time from your holiday: approximately 2,5 h (including transfers, dressing, safety instructions and tour + photo breaks)
Destination: Rovaniemi
No license, no driving, no problem. This 1-hour sleigh ride is Wild Nordic’s most relaxed winter experience, designed for anyone who’d rather watch Lapland go by than steer through it. You’ll settle into a sleigh wrapped in warm blankets while your guide, driving the towing snowmobile, sets a smooth, unhurried pace along snow-packed trails.
From your seat, the Arctic Circle unfolds at eye level: birch and spruce trees bowed under fresh snowfall, wide frozen swamps that catch the low winter light, and long stretches of untouched forest where the loudest sound is the soft crunch of the sleigh runners. Because there’s no engine to operate and nothing to concentrate on besides the view, it’s an easy tour to fully switch off on — hands free for photos, eyes free to wander, and no worry about keeping pace with the group ahead. This is a great tour to immerse yourself as deeply as possible into Lapland’s pure nature, combining a relaxed ride with breaks to allow for photos and embracing of the wild.
It’s a favorite with couples looking for a quiet moment together, grandparents traveling with young grandchildren, and anyone recovering from a long flight who wants a taste of the Arctic wilderness without the physical demands of driving. Warm blankets and thermal clothing are provided, so all you need to bring is your camera.
