An adults-only, 1-hour taster built for a quick Arctic thrill — think of it as the quick, stripped back answer to “can we just try snowmobiling?” After a brief introduction and safety briefing at our Safari Center, you’ll swing a leg over your own snowmobile and follow your guide out along scenic trails that wind through snow-laden forest and across frozen, wind-sculpted swamps north of Rovaniemi.
Because this tour is built specifically for adults, there’s no need to slow the pace for younger riders: you’ll cover more ground and feel more of the engine’s pull than on our family-oriented tours, while still staying well within beginner-friendly limits. The trail alternates between tight, tree-lined corners that demand your attention and wide-open marshland where the flat white glare shines off the snow.
It’s short, sharp, and satisfying — a genuine taste of what snowmobiling in Lapland feels like, minus the multi-hour commitment. Many guests treat it as a warm-up before booking one of our longer safaris later in their trip, and solo drivers can upgrade to their own snowmobile if they’d rather not share.

FAQs
Is this tour for adults only?
Yes, this taster is designed exclusively for riders 18 and over.
Can I drive solo instead of sharing a snowmobile?
Yes, a single-driver upgrade is available for 55€ per person.
How does this differ from the Easy Snowmobile Safari?
Both run one hour, but this tour is adults-only and moves at a slightly quicker pace since there’s no need to accommodate younger or family riders.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes, pickup and drop-off are included from several Rovaniemi hotels and the Safari Center.
Important Information
- Guests must be present at our Safari Center no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. During this 30-minute period, we provide you with your thermal clothing, instruct you in dressing procedures, provide guidance and training concerning the safe operation of the snowmobiles and complete all necessary paperwork prior to the official departure time. In doing so, we ensure that you get to enjoy the maximum amount of time participating in the activity, itself.
- In accordance with Finnish traffic and motor vehicle laws, you must have your physical driver’s license with you in order to operate a snowmobile. If you do not have your driver’s license, you will not be able to drive during the tour and no refund can be offered.
- Wild Nordic does not recommend that pregnant women participate in this activity.

PRICE INCLUDE
- The prices include all described activities, services and equipment.
- Some of the products include in winter season a thermal overall, boots, gloves and woolen socks, in snowmobile safaris also helmet and balaclava. This is mentioned in product info.
- Please note: in winter time you always need to have winter outfit for all programs.
GUIDANCE
- Guidance is in English, other languages are available on request basis with a possible supplement of 39 € per hour through Monday to Saturday and 55 € per hour on Sundays or bank holidays.
SNOWMOBILE TOURS:
- The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid, class B driving license (car or van – check the acceptability of your license in comparison to Finnish standards).
- In accordance with Finnish traffic and motor vehicle laws, you must have your physical driver’s license with you in order to operate a snowmobile. If you do not have your driver’s license, you will not be able to drive during the tour and no refund can be offered.
- Please note that it is strictly prohibited to drive a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- The starting point for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
- The snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. The driver is held liable for a flat rate of 900 € per person in case of an accident. The self liability flat rate can be reduced to 200€ per driver/accident case by purchasing a self liability waiver from Wild Nordic for 20 €/driver for the shorter (1-4 hour) safaris and for 30 €/driver for the longer (5-8 hour) safaris.
- Teenagers must be at least 140cm to sit on a snowmobile paying adult price. Children will be sitting on a sleigh pulled by the guide snowmobile if the type of tour allows it.
- Sleigh rides are not recommended for children younger than 3 years old.
- Solo travellers or participants in group with odd numbers might have to share a snowmobile with someone from another party. If the traveler wish to not share a snowmobile, a single driver supplement can be purchased on spot (subject to availability).
- Wild Nordic Finland does not recommend pregnant individuals to ride on the snowmobile or in the sled pulled by the snowmobile as the vibrations and exhaust fumes may be harmful to the human body. If the program requires special arrangement (e.g. additional transport), Wild Nordic shall not be responsible for the possible extra costs.If the pregnant individual decides to participate in the activity against the advice of Wild Nordic Finland, it is done at their own risk and shall release Wild Nordic from any liability to any occurring injuries to the pregnant customer or the unborn child.
NORTHERN LIGHTS TOURS:
- Northern lights are a natural occurrence and we are unable to guarantee activity, vibrancy or the colour on the evening of the tour.
HIKING BASED ACTIVITIES:
- For hiking based activities a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.
ROVANIEMI
- All safaris start and end at Wild Nordic Safari Center office (Joulupukintie 1) located next to Santa Claus Village. The starting point and time for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.
- Most of the tours include a transfer from the meeting points in the central area of Rovaniemi. Customers shall wait for their pick-up at the given meeting time and point notified by Wild Nordic. All the pick-up times are subject to a 10-minute difference depending on the other participants joining the tours.
- For the tours ending at the Wild Nordic Safari Center, located next to the Santa Claus Village, you can always skip the return transfer if you wish to visit Santa Claus.
LEVI
- All safaris start and end at in the centre of Levi at the given meeting point of the tour. The starting point and time for the safari is stated in the booking confirmation.

The operator reserves the right to make alterations to the programs, price, duration or form of transportation without prior warning. This is also applied to changes in programs due to weather conditions.
