What better way to meet Santa and tell him all the reasons why you’re on his ‘nice’ list this year, than in his private cabin!
When he’s not busy preparing for Christmas, at his Christmas House office, his favourite place to be is in the peaceful surroundings of his forest cabin.
Not only will you have the chance to meet Santa, but you will also get to enjoy a workshop with his best helpers, where they will tell you everything you need to know about the life of an elf. They will show you how to decorate gingerbread and also how to craft a unique Christmas decoration. You will have a sweet treat to enjoy and a lasting souvenir of your visit to take home with you.
Of course, Santa wouldn’t be able to deliver presents all over the world without the help of his loyal reindeer. They too enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest and will be happy to see you when you come to visit. You will have time to meet, feed and take some photos with them, as they take some rest before their big journey.
When your turn comes to visit Santa, he will be sure to create special, quality time just for your family. You will have a private meeting with Santa in his forest cabin – you can ask him any questions you may have and you are welcome to take as many photos and videos with your own devices as you wish.
Please kindly note: Santa speaks fluently in English and Finnish – he is still working on learning other languages from around the world, but we can not promise he will understand them just yet!

Frequently Asked Questions
- What should I wear?
You will be provided with a winter overall and snow boots. We recommend that you wear warm clothing underneath the overall – consider clothing made from wool, fleece and thermal material. Warm socks are also very important! Be sure to bring a warm hat, scarf and gloves with you.
We supply overalls between sizes 80cm for children and 3XL for adults and winter boots between 26 and 46 European sizes.
- Will the activity be cancelled if it is too cold?
In Finnish Lapland, it is common for winter temperatures to drop below -20C and sometimes even below -30C. This activity will operate as long as the temperatures are safe for guests and the reindeer, and will only be cancelled in cases of extreme cold or otherwise adverse weather conditions, which will be determined by the guide.
- What language does Santa speak?
We can only promise that Santa will speak English and Finnish. You are always welcome to ask Santa if he can speak your language – maybe he has picked up some language skills from his travels around the world!
- What if I am not comfortable driving the sled?
We kindly request that the sleds must be driven by the participants. We can not guarantee that a guide will be available to drive the sled if the participant does not want to drive.
- Is there a minimum age for children joining this activity?
Children of all ages are welcome to join this activity.
- Is there a weight limit?
There is no set weight limit, however the guild will arrange the participants on the sleds to help distribute the weight as evenly as possible for the welfare of the dogs.
- Is this activity suitable for pregnant women?
This activity is suitable for pregnant women.
- Are there any physical restrictions for those who can join?
Unfortunately, due to the snowy conditions, the forest location for this activity is not accessible for wheelchair users. For safety reasons, we kindly ask guests who have limited mobility to contact us before booking, so we can check with the guide if it will be safe for you to join.
- Will the activity be cancelled if it is too cold?

- More than 24 hours before activity start time – full refund
- Less than 24 hours before activity start time – non-refundable
- No show – non-refundable
All cancellations must be made via email to [email protected]. The cancellation will be regarded as being received at the time the information of the cancellation in question has reached Santa Claus Holiday Village. In the case of unforeseeable events, i.e. force majeure, Santa Claus Holiday Village is entitled to cancel the booking. In these cases the customer is entitled to receive a reimbursement of all payments remitted to the hotel in full.
Complaints
All the complaints must be done immediately at the time of the tour to the tour provider and sales desk needs to be informed of any possible refunds. Later complaints at the sales desk are not eligible for any refunds. Complaints and requests for refunds must be made directly to Santa Claus Holiday Village, not Wild Nordic Finland.
